keyboard styling at Dr.
Doodles' piano bar, Grand
River and 10 /Mile . . . Wed-
nesdays through Sundays.
HARD TO IMAGINE
anyone SQ very fine and un-
sung as Billy Marr on piano
. . . with the Billy Rose
Quartet at Jakks, Green-
field and 10 Mile . . . Billy's
nimble fingers and excel-
lent execution of notes
create a beautiful tone that
many times goes unnoticed
by dancers and listeners .. .
However, those attuned to
his talents never cease to be
amazed at Billy's versatility
on the keyboard.
A former student of Mis-
cha Kottler, his fingers vir-
tually "fly" over the ivories
on anything from standards
to Latin to pops to jazz or
whatever . . . and his
classical ability is a treat
. . . Billy's "Rhapsody In
Blue" concerto is certainly
something the late George
Gershwin wouldn't be
ashamed having him play
his lnasterpiece.
Billy Marr on piano does
much-to complement the
Billy Rose Quartet at Jakks
. . . with Billy. Rose on lead
guitar and vocalizing; Rudy
Golde, bass guitar and voc-
als; and blind Billy Kalleo,
Alex's brother, on drums,
keeping solid beats . . . plus
