JERUSALEM — A new
MDA emergency medical
station has opened at the
Western Wall to serve the
worshippers, tourists and
residents of the old city.
The clinic, fully equipped
to handle all emergencies,
was established by Magen
David Adorn (Israel's Red
Cross), after the old sta-
tion, near the Dung Gate,
was demolished to enable
new construction in the
area.

(haroset, bitter herbs, shank
bone, eggs in salt water,
potatoes or parsley)
Gefilte fish
Vegetable soup
Tossed salad
Pot roast with small potatoes
Tea, coffee
Macaroons, brownies.
HAROSET
Y2 apple, chopped
1 /4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
Y4 tsp. cinnamon
Y2 tsp. honey
1 tbsp. red wine
Mix all ingredients together.
Chill until serving.

VEGETABLE SOUP
2 large zucchini squash, diced
2 stalks, celery, diced
1 turnip, diced
2 carrots, sliced
2 medium onions
1 parsnip, diced
1 tsp. salt
Y2 tsp. white pepper
1 or 2 bouillon cubes (imitation
beef flavor)
10 cups boiling water
3 sprigs fresh parsley, broken
up.
Place vegetables (except
parisey), spices and boiling
water in a large pot. Bring to
boil, cover and simmer for 1
hour. Dissolve bouillon cube,
stir into soup. Taste, add an-
other cube if necessary. Also
add more salt if desired. Add
fresh parsley and cook for 5
more minutes. Serves 8-10.
MAX BURNS
2 cups sugar
1 pkg. vanilla sugar
4 eggs
3/4 cup cocoa
1 cup cake meal
4 ozs. chocolate chips (or bit-
tersweet bar cut into chips)
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add eggs and mix well. Add
rest of ingredients and beat
until smooth. Add chocolate
chips. Place in a greased jelly
roll pan and bake at 375 de-
grees for 20 minutes.
