The plaque has been placed next to the sculpture which was provided by a special committee to honor Mr. Isaacs. The plaque reads: "Dedicated to the memory of Bernard Isaacs who came to Detroit in 1919 to or- ganize and direct the United Hebrew Schools. The shop is actually a small diner which can accommodate 36 and caters parties. One of its specialties, as a result of its kosher cer- tification, is that it now serves seven varieties of soups. However, Rabbi Goldman stressed, every- thing in. the shop — donuts, cakes, pastries and soup — is dairy. The shop has been cer- tified kosher since March 1.
