Women Leaders Tour Detroit

The Leadership Enrich-
ment Series of the Jewish
Welfare Federation
Women's Division will con-
tinue its month-long pro-
gram with a bus tour of
Jewish Historical Detroit
on Wednesday, from 9:30
a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The bus
will be leaving from the
United Hebrew Schools.
The series is an out-
growth of the fall leadership
seminar graduates who
wish to continue learning
about issues of importance
and concern to Jewish
women.
The bus tour, led by Diane
J. Klein and Susan Yorke,
will trace the roots and
movement of the Detroit
Jewish community over the
past 100 years. Beginning
with the Shaarey Zedek

Cemetery of the late 1800s
(located in Elmwood Park
Cemetery in Detroit), the
tour will go through the
neighborhoods of Detroit.
The tour will include
some cultural sites, syna-
gogues, the old • Jewish
Community Center build-
ings, Northeastern and
Central High Schools, the
first United Hebrew
Schools building, the
Dexter-Linwood area
and others of communal
growth.
The Jewish Historical
Detroit tour is open only to
graduates of the fall leader-
ship seminar, by reserva-
tion only. There is a fee. For

Double, Triple Chai Lunch

Adat Shalom Sisterhood
will hold its annual Double
and Triple Chai Luncheon
noon Wednesday in the

tist Deanna Sperka, who
will give a slide presenta-
tion on, "Experiencing
Jewish Art."
