Turks and Swiss Keep Israel Ties Only made Great Kosher Poultry... / , ANKARA (ZINS) — Both the Turkish and Swiss foreign ministries have an- nounced that their coun- tries have no intention of rupturing diplomatic rela- tions with Israel. The Arabs have pres- sured Turkey to cancel its relations with Israel. Tur- key recalled its ambassador in 1980 to protest the Jerusalem Law re- affirming Israel's claim to the entire city of Jerusalem. The two countries retain consular status. The Swiss government re- jected a socialist deputy's request that ties with Israel be broken because of Israel's invasion of Lebanon. In re- jecting the request the gov- ernment added that Swiss neutrality does not exclude military ties with any state when it is in the interest of Switzerland.
