Fay Helem, a member of
Jewish communal and
women's organizations here
and in California, died Feb.
8 at age 62.
A former Detroiter, Mrs.
Halem moved to California
in 1975. While in Detroit,
Mrs. Halem was a former
officer and board member of
the Beth Aaron Sisterhood
and past president of the
PTO of the Beth Aaron
Branch of the United He-
brew Schools.
A 25-year member of
Bnai Brith Women, Mrs.
Halem was a member of the
California Chapter of City
of Hope in Woodland Hills,
Calif., and a member of
Cong. Beth Kodesh in
Canoga Park, Calif.
She is 'survived by her
husband, Abe; two sons,
Jack of Simi Valley, Calif.,
and Ronald of Costa Mesa,
Calif.; a daughter, Cheryl
Moritz of Westlake, Calif.;
two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Cob-
lentz of Detroit and Mrs.
Lila Halem of Reseda,
Calif.; and two grandchil-
dren. • Interment Los
Angeles.

Victor H. Linden, a real
estate developer who also
was involved in property
management, died Feb. 2 at
age 55.
A native Detroiter, Mr.
Linden was a partner in the
firm of Adler, Jaffa and
Linden for 25 years. He was
a member of Men's ORT
Federation and Hadassah
Associates.
He leaves his wife, Joan;
two sons, David and
Jonathan; a daughter, Mrs.
Amy Sarkosy; his mother,
Mrs. Nathan (Ada) Linden;
three sisters, Mrs. Harry
(Lois) Nelson, Mrs. Bernard
(Naomi) Kline and Mrs.
Gerald (Miriam) Freed of
Windsor, Ont.; and five
grandchildren.

Rebecca Alger, a member
of Jewish women's organ-
izations, died Feb. 6 at age
80.
Born in New York, Mrs.
Alger was a member of

Brith.
She leaves a son, Morton

Lanee Wexler, a member
of Jewish communal organ-
izations, - died Feb. 9 at age
78.
Born in Russia, Mrs.
Wexler lived 70 years in De-
troit. She was a member of

Zedakah Club, Women of
Jewish National Fund and
Keidan Chapter of Bnai
Brith Women.
She leaves two sons, Gary
and Bernard of Newberry
Park, Calif.; three brothers,
George Drapkin, Jack
Drapkin and Julius Drap-
kin of Los Angeles, Calif.;
two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Be-
tty) Silverman and Mrs.
William (Belle) Levin of
Sunrise, Fla.; and four
grandchildren.

Isaac Harpaz, of the Hebrew
University's Faculty of Ag-
riculture in Rehovot, has
been invited to Argentina to
serve as consultant on the
control of a virus disease
epidemic which has struck
that country's corn crop.
