Timerman Book
Adapted for TV

NEW YORK — "Prisoner
Without a Name, Cell
Without a Number," the
book by Argentine news-
paper editor Jacobo Timer-
man, is currently being
filmed as a movie for NBC
Television.
The book describes
Timerman's torture and in-
ternment at the hands of
Argentinian authorities,
who held him under house
arrest and stripped his citi-
zenship because he was an
opponent of the government
and a Jew. Timerman now
lives in Israel.
The movie, to be aired
this spring, stars Roy
Schieder and Liv Ulmann.
