At its 75th anniversary
convention in New York
City, at the Grand Hyatt
Hotel, the Alpha Omega
Dental Fraternity unanim-
ously adopted a resolution
to build a new dental school.
at Tel Aviv University. The
new structure will abut the
existing dental building
and will increase the
number of needed
graduates from 24 to 48.
Detroiter Dr. Leo Shipko,
the international president
presiding at the convention,
created the original resolu-
tion and presented a mis-
sion statement for the com-
bined _fund-raising effort
with the Friends of Tel Aviv

Plans are under way to
begin a major ' fund-
raising campaign in the
early spring.
Alpha Omega and the
Friends of Tel Aviv Univer-
sity are organizing a cam-
paign to reach the profes-
sional and non-professional
community.
Regent Dr. John Cohen
headed a Detroit delegation
that included Drs. Allan ,
Warnick, Robert Galin, Joel
Schaumberg and David
Bloom. Undergraduate
representatives were Doug
Rouff and Lisa Lopatin of
the University of Michigan
and Mitch Miland and Paul
Darmon of the University of
Detroit.
Dr. Richard Williams of
Madison Heights was
elected treasurer of the in-
ternational Jewish dental
fraternity.
