He has served the Reform movement nationally since that time, first as assistant director of the National Federation of Temple Youth, then as assistant na- tional director of education and assistant director of the Commission on Jewish Education. He has been national director of both bodies since 1977. He holds a doctorate in education from Columbia University, and has taught on the campus of the HUC- JIR in New York. The ADL investigated the mailing after its regional offices in New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Connec- ticut, Illinois, Cal- ifornia, Georgia and Texas received complaints.
