52 Friday, January 21, 1983 Farming Booms JERUSALEM (ZINS) — Agrexco, Israel's agricul- ture exporting agency, ex- pects that Israeli 'exports to Europe will climb 23 per- cent in the next few months. The organization is also predicting a doubling of ag- ricultural exports within four years. The newspaper Haaretz reports that Agrexco has been advising Israeli farm- ing communities to limit production in order to keep prices stable. THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Simons Named for Cancer Foundation Distinguished Service Award for 1983 "For outstanding contri- butions to the goals of the Michigan Cancer Founda- tion covering a period of 40 years," Leonard N. Simons has been nominated for the movement's Distinguished Service Award for 1983. The nomination was pre- sented at the annual meet- ing of the Michigan Cancer Foundation, Wednesday, held at the Engineering Society of Detroit. David Hermelin was in- cluded in the list of new members of the board elected at Wednesday's meeting. Simons is a former chairman of the board of the Michigan Cancer Foundation.
