The sessions are con- ducted 10:30 a.m. Mondays in the Hillel Lounge by Pal- tiel Lifschitz, a graduate student in communications at WSU. Marci Manniker, a former student at Hebrew University will be at Hillel at 11:50 a.m. Monday to talk about the overseas stu- dents programs at Hebrew University. A discussion on Arab- Jewish reconciliation will take place 11:50 a.m. Wednesday at Hillel. Robert Oppenheimer, a graduate student at the Merrill-Palmer Institute, who has participated in Neve Shalom in Israel, a project to foster peaceful relations between Arabs and Jews, will lead the discussion. The Hillel House in Oak Park has programs 8-11 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The president, accom- panied by his Jewish brother-in-law, Roger Ha- nin, and a young Jewish politician, Roger Gerard Schwartzenberg, arrived unannounced and unex- pected. Mitterrand wanted to show his solidarity with the people in the "Pletzel," the old Jewish ghetto. He sat for close to three hours with Jo Goldenberg and some of his customers to "chew the fat" and discuss the situation.
