ments the courage of the
residents of Leeuwarden,
Holland in hiding the sac-
red artifacts of the
Leeuwarden Synagogue
from the Nazis during
World War II, and the sub-
sequent transfer of these ar-
tifacts — including Torah
scrolls — to the synagogue
in AMW's Kfar Batya, the
Bessie Gotsfeld Children's
Village in - Raanana, Israel.
