fighter ready for testing by
1986.
Line production of the
new plane will commence

ions in light of the test ex-
perience.
Brig. Gen. Menahem Eini
relinquished his army
duties this week to take up a
civilian post as director of
the Lavie project. He will
replace Brig. Gen. Amos
Lapidot, who has just been
appointed commander of
the Israel Air Force. •
