THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Alan Grossman Alan J. Grossman, a real estate broker, died Dec. 15 at age 68. Born in Muskegon, Mr. Grossman was affiliated with the offices of Max Broock Inc., realtors, in Birmingham for seven years. Previously, he was the owner of the Alan J. Grossman Co., residential real estate firm in Detroit. He owned his firm for 35 years. He also was an attorney, having graduated from the University of Chicago Law School. He was a member of the Michigan and Illinois Bar Associations, Michigan Board of Realtors, Franklin Hills Country Club, Temple Beth El and Bnai Brith. He leaves his wife, Eleanor; three sons, Thomas J. of Phoenix, Ariz., James F. and A. Joseph; a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Mary) Serlin of Phoenix; two step-sons, Dr. John J. Hartman and James R.
