said that because of un-
precedented forces and
funds arrayed against Is-
rael, "it will be up to Is-
rael's friends, in the
communities and in
Washington, who will
simply have to work har-
der and more skillfully to
balance the misinforma-
tion and the lack of in-
formation about Israel,
by raising its voice higher
and more frequently, and
in a way that it will be
heard and understood by
the American people."

advised the Israeli govern-
ment to build nuclear reac-
tors both as deterrents
against attacks and for the
nation's energy needs.

Teller offered these
recommendations during a
lecture on "Perspectives on
the Energy Problem" last
Friday at Ben-Gurion Uni-
versity of the Negev.

Teller suggested that
the government develop
an underground nuclear
power station and also
use coal-fired power sta-
tions.

Commenting on criticism
that nuclear power stations
present dangers to . people
living in the area, Teller
said, "Reactors don't hurt
people but people often hurt
reactors." As chairman of
the Committee to Draw-Up
Nuclear Power Plant Regu-
lation, Teller felt that his
group had proposed "strin-
gent safeguards."
