Judge Kaufman, when a Juvenile Court Judge, pioneered many programs to aict juveniles in distress; and has been a friend of labor since early days of active unionism. He was assistant judge of Common Pleas and Circuit Courts. Africa Ties Hit at UN UNITED NATIONS (JTA) — The General As- sembly overwhelmingly adopted a resolution con- demning Israel for its al- leged cooperation with South Africa, especially in the military and nuclear areas. The vote last week was 113-18 with 10 absten- tions. The resolution, adopted as part of a series of resolu- tions dealing with apar- theid, demanded that Israel sever all ties with South-Af- rica, in particular, its "nu- clear and military" coopera- tion.
