Old Newsboys Honor Senior
Victor N. Bernstein re-
ceived the Old Newsboys
Award of Merit Thursday at
the annual meeting of the
Old Newsboys Goodfellow
Fund at the Pontchartrain
Hotel.
Bernstein, who recently
celebrated his 82nd birth-
day, received the award for
being the first Old Newsboy
to be selling its Goodfellow
editions for 60 consecutive
years.
Bernstein practiced
law in Detroit for more
than 55 years prior to re-
tirement. For the past
seven years he has been
giving free legal assis-
tance to senior citizens.
Seniors age 65 and up
with an income of less than
$6,000 who need such serv-
ice can make an appoint-
ment between 1 and 3 p.m.
