and work of the late
Rapheal Lemkin, author of
the Genocide Convention —
the first human rights
treaty adopted by the
United Nations.
The article, which ap-
pears in the December is-
sue, commemorates the
34th anniversary of the UN
vote on the treaty which
took place Dec. 9, 1948.
