Their children are: Dr. and Mrs. Pino (Judith) Wiser and Bernard. The Liebermans have one grandchild. A native of Macon, Ga., Mrs. Lieberman was graduated from the Toronto Conservatory of Music, attended Wayne State Uni- versity and the University of Michigan School of Music. She is a member of Pioneer Women, American Jewish Cmigress, the Music Study Club and Jewish Home for the Aged. Lieberman is a founder of the Jewish Community Council of Detroit in which he is still active. He was the first president of the Metropolitan Chap- ter of the American Jewish Congress of De- troit. He is a founder of the Detroit Zionist Fed- eration and a founder of the League for Labor Is- rael. He helped, with the late Rabbi Jacob Segal, organize the Hillel Day School and secured its accreditation and charter. He is on the na- tional board of Histadrut, its regional vice president and chairman of the Israel Histadrut Campaign of De- troit. Lieberman is a founding member of the Labor Zionist Alliance, a member of its national board and has served as chairman of its local council for many terms.
