Specially geared to meet "the serious need to upgrade the train- ing of journalists working in Israel," the new program combines elements of undergraduate and graduate programs offered by university schools of journalism in the United States and the United Kingdom, more than 30 of which were consulted in formulating the Bar-Ilan curriculum. The division will specifi- cally aim at providing prac- tical training and academic achievement with substan- tial Jewish cultural content to a new generation of Is- raeli journalists.
