BBYO Activities

AZA and BBG chapters
will participate in a BBYO
Sabbath Shul-In today and
Saturday. Each participat-
ing AZA and BBG chapter
will go as a group to the
synagogue or temple of
their choice. Coordinators,
for the program are AZA
and BBG Council Vice
Presidents, Mark Levin and
Missy Remer.
Planning is under way for
the annual Michigan BBYO
Regional Convention which
will take place Dec. 26-30 at
the main Jewish Commu-
nity Center. The slogan for
the convention is "Fun in
the Sun." The program will
feature workshops around
the theme of prejudice and
anti-Semitism. In addition,
chapters will be competing
in international and
regional contests and ath-
letics. The program will also
offer a talent show and a
dressy dance. Coordinators
are Brian Binder of Rose
AZA and Bonnie Borkin of
Brice BBG.
BBYO announces the ap-
pointment of Linda Mar-
kowitz as adviser to Brice
BBG and Mark Rosen as
adviser to Ruach AZA. Posi-
tions are still open for ad-
visers to chapters in West
Bloomfield, Southfield and
Huntington Woods. To vol-

AZA and BBG mem-
bers will participate in
the fourth annual Youth
Symposium on the
Holocaust 8:30 a.m. Dec. 7
at the Wayne State Uni-
versity Student Center.
Students will be excused
from school for this pro-
gram. The cost of the
program is free, but
BBYO will offer trans-
portation from the BBYO
office at 7 a.m. at a nomi-
nal charge. Those
BBYOers interested may
register at the BBYO

The next meeting of the
BBYO board of directors
