Blanchard will be the guest speaker at the 68th anniversary dinner of Yeshivath Beth Yehudah to 1981. In honor of his mother, the younger Bloch dedicated a library at Kfar Chabad, Israel, also in 1981. Bloch is active in tasks on behalf of Bar-Ilan University, Hebrew Uni- versity, Jewish National Fund, Lubavitch and American Red Magen David for Israel. He is a chai founder of Boys Town Jerusalem and an Israel Bonds Canal Founder (1981 and 1982). He is president of the Prime Minister's Club of Israel Bonds and serves on the in- ternational board of direc- tors of Israel Bonds. Bloch also is a member and trustee of Cong. Shaarey Zedek. The yeshiva has an enrollment of more than 600 children in its three di- visions: the boys school in Southfield, the Sally Allan Alexander Beth Jacob School for Girls in Beverly Hills and the high school and post-graduate Kollel division in Oak Park.
