25-30 large mushrooms
2 lbs. ground meat
3 tbsps. chopped onion
3 tbsps. soy sauce
1 /2 tsp. white pepper
1 tbsp. flour
1 cup beef broth
Wash mushrooms and re-
move stems. Add onions, 1
tbsp. soy sauce, pepper and
flour to meat. Shape into small
balls and stuff mushrooms.
Pour rest of soy sauce and the
broth into the frying pan. Place
mushrooms, stuffed side up,
into pan. Cover and cook for 20
minutes. Serve hot with tooth-
picks.

CRIF Names
Acting Chief

PARIS (JTA) — Jean-
Paul Elkann, a 61-year-old
businessman, has been
elected acting president of
the representative Council
of Major French Jewish
Organizations (CRIF).
He is replacing Alain de
Rothschild who died of a
heart attack last month.
The CRIF announced that a
new president for a three-
year term will be elected in
January.
