NEW YORK — The Is-
rael Aliya Center has an-
nounced the scheduling of
"Group Pilot Trips"
throughout 1983 to help
Americans gain first-hand
knowledge of job and living
conditions in Israel.
Pilot trips enable partici-
pants, who travel alone or in
groups for two to three
weeks, to discuss employ-
ment opportunities with
prospective employers, Is-
raeli colleagues, and ex-
perts in their fields, at pre-
arranged meetings. Group
trips include visits to ab-
sorption centers, new hous-
ing areas, and development
towns.
Information on Pilot
Trips is available from the
Israel Aliya Center, 515
Park Ave., New York, N.Y.

JERUSALEM (JNI) —
The Labor Zionists, Mapam
and the Reform Movement
have won their battle to
allow new elections for U.S.
delegates to the 30th World
Zionist Congress, but they
reportedly intend to
negotiate with the Likud
and its allies, rather than
hold the elections, which
would cost about $3 million.
The Likud bloc failed in
its attempt in the Zionist
General Council to cancel
U.S. elections among its
members. Similar elections
of delegates to the De-
cember congress have al-
ready been held in several
other countries.
