Dovid Ben Nuchim. Mrs. Dora Carmen is the honoree. A musical program will be presented by Cantor Chaim Najman of Cong. Shaarey Zedek and by Eric Rosenow. Rabbi Feivel Wagner, spiritual leader of Young Israel of Greenfield, will be the guest speaker. The Jewish Home for Aged will hold a fund- raising meeting for its new Maple-Drake residence 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Standard Club North. Persons have been asked to attend to learn about the project which will signific- antly expand services to the Jewish elderly. Apricot Loaf By NORMA BARACH (Copyright 1982, JTA, Inc.) 1 3/4 cups self-rising flour 1 stick margarine 1 cup dried apricots, roughly chopped 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 large eggs 5-6 tbsps. milk Grease and flour a 1-quart loaf pan. With a pastry blender or two knives mix flour and margarine until mixture re- sembles sand. Add apricots and sugar. Make a well in cen- ter, add eggs and milk. The mixture should have a soft consistency. Turn into loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until cake tests done. Let cool in pan about 10 minutes. Turn out and cool on a wire rack. Slice when cool. Serve with butter and jelly. Makes 10-12 slices. Business Briefs Center and will be adjacent to the third phase of Jewish Federation Apartments.
