In recognition of the
school's reputation, the
Helene Fuld Health Trust,
which aids schools of nurs-
ing throughout the world,
has chosen Shaare Zedek as
the only recipient of funds
in Israel. These funds are
being used for equipping
classrooms, libraries, rec-

areas of clinical training. It
promotes the use of audio-
visual aids in the training of
student nurses.

the home of Mr. and Mrs.

hospitality of Emma

honored Sunday by the
board and officers of the
Jewish National Fund of
Detroit upon his retirement
as executive director.
Among the innovations
he instituted during his
nearly 30 years' service to
the JNF are the JNF tes-
timonial dinner to honor
local Jewish leaders by es-
tablishing forests in Israel
in their names; establishing
JNF Young Women; help-
ing to found Hillel Day
School; the Bnai Brith
President's Brunch and
JNF Month. He began the
custom of giving tree cer-
tificates to Jewish school
graduates, confirmands and
Bar-Bat Mitzva celebrants.
