Oh say can't you see
That Israel is a great little democracy.
And since in Jer"USA"lem "USA" is fixed to stay,
The American Embassy will ultimately pave the way.
This unique combination of Democracies
Will be a tremendous step forward toward Mideast peace,
Causing all antipathies and wranglings
To ultimately cease.
What more protection of the Holy Places
Would the Arabs and Christians then desire
Than the ultimate influence of a Democratic Shield
Ameliorating acts of hate and ire?
For out of Zion shall come forth the Law
And the word of the Lord from Jer'USA'lem."
There will be no more war,
But only peace forever more.

Better Congressional Support
for Israel Is Goal of Group

NEW YORK — With re-
ports emanating from
Capitol Hill indicating that
U.S.-Israel relations are at
a 20-year low, Marvin
Josephson, treasurer of The
National Political Action
Committee (NatPAC), is
calling on Americans to join
with the committee in ef-
forts to stem erosion of sup-
port through direct political
action.
The group, formed last
month, financially backs

Israel Culture
Tour Planned

Dr. Samuel Stulberg and
I. Murray Jacobs, chairmen
of the Shaarey Zedek Cul-
tural Commission, have
announced plans for an
Israel Cultural Study tour
which will take place March
1-15.
The tour which will be led
by Cantor and Mrs. Chaim
Najman in cooperation with
the Cultural Commission,
will focus attention on the
arts and places of cultural
interst in Israel.
The tour will include vis-
its to the outstanding
museums, leading art gal-
leries, music and dance con-
servatories and admission
to performances by Israel's
outstanding orchestras and
performers. Leading the
roster of events and concerts
are the Israel Philhar-
monic, Jerusalem Sym-
phony, Inbal Dancers,
Habima Theater, Yemin
Moshe and an archeological
dig at the Western Wall.
A deposit is required by
Nov. 15. For details, call

who believe that America's
strategic interests in the
Middle East are best served
by maintaining our tradi-
tional commitment to the
security of Israel.
"It is no secret that con-
tinuation at maximum
levels of the U.S. commit-
ment to Israel's survival is
in great jeopardy today —
greater than at any other
time in the past," Josephson
said. "A number of Senators
and Representatives re-
ported to him that they were
being attacked for past
votes in favor of aid to Israel
and in effect being pres-
sured to change their posi-
tions for the future."
"NatPAC is becoming
the grass-roots backbone
for American citizens
who never before had an
opportunity to effectively
channel financial sup-
port to political candi-
dates and thus achieve
political strength," ac-
cording to Josephson.

mination to found a peace-
making process on the Re-
agan initiative."
He added, in response to a
question, that he found no
significant difference be-
tween the approach of Cairo
and that of Damascus to the
Reagan plan. Pym held
talks in Syria before travel-
ing to Cairo.
"I think (the Syrians) are
approaching it in a very
wise way," the Foreign
Minister said, noting that
Syria might participate in a
delegation of Arab League
representatives to Wash-
ington where they will con-
sult with U.S. officials on
the initiative later this
month.
