"It was my parent's 50th wed- ding anniversary and my sister and I went all over the city looking at different facilities and were becom- ing quite discouraged try- ing to find a place that had a little Jewish tam. Whenever we mentioned that we were interested in bagels and lox, we were looked at funny as they were trying to figure out `What was that!' "We also wanted a place that was close by but did not want a shul. When we talked to the girl at Hamil- ton Place, we realized that we had found the right place. We booked it. After the invitations were or- dered, we started hearing so many bad comments that we were getting sick to our stomachs and were quite concerned as it was too late to make a change. I wanted to tell you that we are so very thrilled that we kept it at Hamilton Place. "The banquet manager, Donna Brown, could not have been nicer. The cater- ing manager, Gary (do not know her last name) was very, very accommodating and tried to please in every way. Everyone there tried their very best to please us. "We were served their de- luxe brunch, and every- thing — the eggs, blintzes were hot. The waitress kept the coffee coming (decafein- ated as well as regular). The amount of lox, sable, cream cheese, bagels and pastries was more than ample. The fruit on the sweet table was all cut into fancy shapes and displayed so beautifully that it was a shame to go into it. "I have since gotten a lot of calls from people wanting to know if we were satisfied and I think you would be doing a real service to let people know what a wonder- ful catering hall we have in our midst. I was even pleas- antly surprised to get a let- ter from the management after the party to fill out asking if I was satisfied with many questions about service, etc. This shows a place that cares. I have not been so pleased since my last parties at Raleigh House." —Ilene Monast (Mrs. Benjamin) "P.S. Party was for my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Sweet."
