Court Hears Sinai Case
TEL AVIV (ZINS) — An
American Jewish investor
is suing the Israeli govern-
ment for $300 million com-
pensation because Israel re-
turned the Sinai oil fields to
Egypt. The unnamed inves-
tor claims he was assured of
ownership of 12 percent of
any oil found in Sinai.
The case is before the Is-
raeli Supreme Court and
the government has hired
expansive legal help.
One attorney is paid
$1,000 for each day he ap-
