A brunch buffet begins the event at 10:30 a.m.; the show starts at noon. Admission is by a minimum $500 1982 Bond purchase. Linda Bloch and Linda Goldman have accepted the roles of fashion show co- chairmen. Israel created its fash- ion industry with design talent and craftsmanship that flowed to the coun- try with immigration from 70 lands. Its de- velopment came with the help of Israel Bond in- vestment funds chan- neled through Israel's Development Budget. Israel Bond input is re- flected in fashion-related areas that range from local production of high quality cotton to advanced com- puterized technology in knitwear production. A toast to the Jewish Community on the Eve of Rosh Hashonah! The C.F. Burger Creamery .; producers of Speas Apple Juice in refrigerated half-gallons extends to everyone best wishes for a long life, peace, and happiness! As a major employer and exporter, the fashion indus- try enjoys Israel govern- ment support. Its rapid de- velopment has seen a new generation of young de- signers like Gideon Oberson come to the fore. Designs reflect the bright colors of their Mediterra- nean setting and the influ- ence of Paris and Milan cou- ture. Not surprisingly for a country where the sun shines more than half the year, bathing suits are a de- signer focus. The famous Gottex line has been fol- lowed in the field by half-a- dozen other houses. Also re- presented in the show is fine leather apparel, another Is- raeli tradition. Now touring 60 cities in the U.S. and Canada, the show brings together a unique sampling of Is- raeli fashions. On view will be swim- wear, cottons, knits, leath- ers and velours by Beged- Or, Biba, Diva, Dorina of Is- rael, Gaby Model, Gottex, Helen Knits, Kitan Ltd., MIF-Glico, Niba Ltd., Papco, Rikma and Tadmor.
