liver the keynote address at
the 55th annual convention
of the National Ladies Aux-
iliary, Jewish War Vete-
rans of the United States
(JVWA).
The convention, in con-
junction with the Jewish
War Veterans, will take
place at the Concord Hotel,
Kiamesha Lake, N.Y., Sept.
6-12.
Blood donor centers in
Wayne, Oakland and
Macomb counties will be
open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
Sept. 4 as part of the
Save-A-Life-Saturday pro-
gram sponsored by the
Southeastern Michigan
region of the American Red
Cross.
Blood can also be donated
the following day at centers
in Oak Park, Dearborn and
Sterling Heights. Donor
centers in Livonia, Ann Ar-
bor, Wyandotte and
Roseville will be open on
Sept. 6 (Labor Day) from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m.
