as the winner of the Demo-
cratic nomination for the
U.S. House of Representa-
tives in the 17th District in
Tuesday's primary election,
if he wins in the November
election against the Repub-
lican nominee, Jerry Rosen,
will contribute to an in-
teresting recurrence in U.S.
Congressional history: two
brothers serving in Con-
gress at the same time.
Sander's brother Carl is the
junior Michigan U.S. Sena-
tor.
Levin won more than 40
percent of the Democratic

chwitz (R-Minn.), chairman

be the special guest at a re-
ception at the Hamilton
Place 6:30 p.m. Monday in
support of Republican, 17th
District Congressional can-
didate Jerry Rosen.
Sen. Boschwitz, a Jewish_
refugee from the Holocaust
in Nazi Germany, said that
he sees difficult, frustrating
and potentially perilious
times ahead for Israel, add-
ing that "it is a period in
which Israel will need
strong and resolute friends
in Congress. Jerry Rosen is
a close friend of mine, and I
know that he has the
strongest committment to
the security and survival of
Israel."
Rosen was a member of
the staff of Michigan's
former U.S. Senator
Robert P. Griffin. Ro-
sen's wife Liz also served
