man, who was appointed
last spring as a judge of the
48th District Court, is seek-
ing election to the post.
Judge Friedman is a
graduate of Mumford High
School, the Detroit Institute
of Technology and the De-
troit College of Law, where
he was awarded the Law
Alumni Scholarship Award
for excellence.
He was a felony trial at-
torney with the Wayne
County Prosecutor's Office,
and served as city attorney
for several cities where he
was in private practice. He
has practiced before the
Michigan Court of Appeals
and the Michigan Supreme
Court.
Judge Friedman is a
member of the Michigan,
Florida and Oakland
County bar associations,
the Association of Trial
Lawyers of America, Na-
tional Institute of Munic-
ipal Law Officers and

JUDGE FRIEDMAN

Michigan Criminal De-
fense Lawyers.
Married and the father of
two, Judge Friedman is a
member of the board of the
March of Dimes and a
member of Temple Israel,
where his wife teaches nur-
sery school. The family re-
sides in West Bloomfield.
He is active in the Cub Sc-
outs and is a life member of
the NAACP.
He has been rated "pre-
ferred and well-qualified"
by Civic Searchlight, and
has been endorsed by the
Fraternal Order of Police,
the president-elect of the
American Bar Association
and the three past
presidents of the Michigan
Bar Association.

I wish to acknowledge the
many prayers, flowers, cards and
kindnesses of our relatives and
friends on my recent long hospitali-
zation.

- Thank God the prayers were
answered because I am now at
home and getting along- fine.
