New York, a national leader
in Bnai Brith and Israel
Bonds, gave encouragement
to an increasing trend for
Israel Bonds throughout the
U.S. as guest speaker. He
placed emphasis also on the
urgent need, in this critical
time, to solidify efforts in
support of developing Is-
rael's economic resources
with the aid of Israel Bond
funds.
Nosanchuk was given
high commendations for
his many communal serv-
ices by Rabbi Benjamin
Gorrelick, Max Sosin,
who conducted the in-
vestment portion of the
program, and the eve-
ning's presiding Mar-
shall Suburban Lodge
officer, Alfred Stebbins,
o was honored in
who als
celebration of his 75th
birthday that day.
The evening was a tribute
to the activities of the entire
Nosanchuk family, who
numbered more than a score
at the dinner, with the elder
Jacob Nosanchuk giving
the opening dinner prayer.
Max Nosanchuk, acknow-
ledging the honors accorded
him, urged increased
tourism to Israel as an
encouragement to the Is-
raelis that " we are with you
in your struggles."
Participants in the dinner
program included Charles
Fink, Ann Feldman and
Cantor Max Shimansky.
Nosanchuk was pre-
sented with the Israel
Lion of Judah Award.
Rhoda Wallace, guitarist,
entertained the guests with
popular Yiddish and He-
brew musical selections.

The Revlon cosmetics
empire was started by the
Revson family whose name
means "son of a rabbi."

Four Describe
Lebanon Trip

LARGE SELECTION

Four Detroiters who par-
ticipated last month in a
special fact-finding mission
to Israel and Lebanon are
sharing their insight with
members of area syna-
gogues and organizations.
Marvin H. Goldman,
Lawrence S. Jackier, Emery
I. Klein and Robert H. Naf-
taly have been reporting on
their observations as part of
the Prime Minister's Spe-
cial Mission. During the
trip, they were able to meet
with both Israelis and
Lebanese citizens, and view
the damage and relief ef-
forts.
Jackier will speak Satur-
day morning at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek. Naftaly and
Klein spoke at Beth Ab-
raham Hillel Moses and
Adat Shalom Synagogue
last weekend.
