NEW YORK — Hudson
Vitamins have been
granted a certificate of kas-
hrut by the Orthodox Rab-
binical Office, Bet Din, in
New York. The approved
products which will carry
the "K in the circle" seal.
The kosher seal will ap-
pear on more than 100 Hud-
son products including vit-
amins, minerals and non-
prescription drugs. In-
cluded on the approved list
of products are the full
range of B-complex vita-
mins, 14 vitamin C formu-
lations, 17 natural minerals
and food supplements, as
well as Spider-Man Chil-
dren's Chewable Vitamins.
In 1891, philanthropist
Maurice de Hirsch donated
$36 million to the Jewish
Colonization Association to
settle 5,000 Jewish families
in farming colonies in
Brazil and Argentina.
