Campaign Leaders Seminar
Scheduled to Be Held July 27

The economic emergency
in Israel that has resulted
from the conflict with the
PLO in Lebanon will be a
major concern at the 1983
Allied Jewish Campaign
Leadership Seminar to be
held July 27 at Somerset
Inn in Troy.
This year's General
Chairmen Jay M. Kogan
and Joel D. Tauber have
announced the seminar will
review the 1982 Campaign

and deal with the urgent
priorities facing the upcom-
ing Campaign.
A panel of leaders re-
cently returned from Leba-
non and Israel will discuss
the Middle East situation
and Israel's severe economic
crisis. Members of the Cam-
paign Management Com-
mittee and leaders of the
Jewish Welfare Federation
will exchange ideas on var-
ious aspects. of the Cam-
paign.
According to Tauber,
the new Campaign must
meet tremendous chal-
lenges. He noted that
Campaigners are explor-
ing ways' in which the
AJCampaign can help
answer Israel's need for
help while effectively
meeting a growing bur-
den on local social serv-
ice agencies resulting
from Detroit's hard-hit
economy.
For information about the
seminar, call Barbara
Satinsky, assistant Cam-
paign_ director, 965-3939.
