Max Nosanchuk to Be Cited at Marshall Suburban Event The Louis Marshall Sub- urban Lodge will hold an Is- rael Bond tribute dinner on Aug. 3 at Cong. Beth Achim. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m., with cocktail recep- tion at 6:30 p.m. Honored at the event will be Max Nosanchuk, a long- time supporter of Bnai Brith and the Israel Bond program. Nosanchuk will be the recipient of the Lion of Judah Award. The honoree has been a member of the Israel Bonds Prime Minister's Club for seven years. He is an active participant in the Allied Jewish .Cam- paign, the American Technion Society, the De- troit Roxind Table of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, the Zionist Organization of America, the Jewish As- sociation for Retarded Citizens and ORT. He is a founder of the Bnai Brith Hillel Founda- tion, Bar - Ilan University, Hebrew University, Met- ropolitan Detroit Lubavitch and Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. Nosanchuk is a past pres- ident of Beth Aaron Synagogue and is a member of Cong. Beth Achim. In ad- dition to his membership in the Marshall Suburban Lodge, he holds member- ships in Oakland Century and Pisgah lodges. Born in Rubleh, Russia, Nosanchuk immigrated to the U.S. in 1921. He has been married to his wife May for 51 years. They are the parents of three sons and have four grandchil- dren. The couple are life members of Sinai HoSpi- tal Guild. They have do- nated the Max and May Nosanchuk Family Forest, through the MAX NOSANCHUK Jewish National Fund, in Iiiryat Shmona, Israel.
