(Cel) Friedman, former De-
troiters of Lauderdale
Lakes, Fla., were honored
by family and friends at a
party on the occasion of
their 50th wedding an-
niversary.
The party was given by
their children: Mr. and Mrs.
Mark (Elaine) Lavetter of
Southfield, Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene, (Vivian) Friedman
of Southfield and Mr. and
Mrs. Gil (Helene) Friedman

Center to Host
Tryouts for
Maccabia Games

The Jewish Community
Center's physical education
department will sponsor
Maccabia Games basketball
team tryouts 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday in the gym at
the main Center complex.
Boys age 12-16 are eligi-
ble to tryout for the North
American Maccabia Games
to be held Aug. 3-10 in
Memphis, Tenn.
