Zaire Alone
With Effort
to Renew Ties
LONDON (ZINS) — Zaire
is the only African country
ready to restore relations
with Israel, according to the
British newspaper Eight
Days. 'A number of African
states had promised the
United 'States that they
would renew ties with Is-
rael, but repudiated their
promise following Israel's
annexation of the Golan
Heights last year, the paper
said.
Vienna had a Jewish
population of 100,000 before
Hitler.
