The Shenkmans are founders of the new Shaare Zedek Medical Center. They have been involved in ef- forts on behalf of the hospi- tal's school of nursing, which was founded in 1936. The medical center bene- fits from the Helena Fuld Health Trust, which pro- vides educational equip- ment and medical libraries to nursing schools through- out the world. An update on the hos- pital and its new medical center will be given by Dr. M. Schimmal of the hospital's medical staff. MDA has been heavily af- fected by the fighting in Lebanon. Ten victims of the terrorist shelling of north- ern Israeli settlements were treated by MDA June 4-6. Its Kiryat Shmona emer- gency aid station was struck by rockets June 5. There were no casualties, but a -bloodmobile was exten- sively damaged, there was slight damage to three other vehicles and building win- dows were shattered. The MDA carried out the transfer of wounded Israeli soldiers and prisoners from the initial hospitals to other hospitals in Israel.
