The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Adat Shalom Synagogue, will honor Maurice Rosender, a member of Bnai Brith for 37 years and a past president of Oakland Century Lodge. Rosender will be the reci- pient of the Israel Bonds Lion of Judah Award, "in appreciation of his leader- ship in the Israel Bond pro- gram." Comedian Emil Cohen has appeared in major night clubs, hotels and theaters throughout the country and has per- formed on television and on radio. A native of Wilmington, Del., Cohen presents a pro- gram finding its origins in both American and Yiddish culture. His father is a can- tor, and Cohen brings to his performance a wealth of background in Jewish music, tradition and humor. The tribute dinner is being chaired by Ralph Mil- ler and Nathan Rubenstein.
