Emanuel Zippori, Israel
consul general to the Mid-
west, will address a meeting
of the American Jewish
Congress 8:30 p.m. Tuesday
at Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
His topic will be "Camp
David After Sinai — The
Future for Peace in the
Middle East."
Born in the U.S., Zippori
emigrated to Israel in 1948.
He holds a master's degree
in political science from the
University of Chicago.
After fighting in the Israel
War of Liberation, he went
on to a career in the Israel
Foreign Service.
He has served the Israeli
government in Tokyo, the
Hague, Nigeria and in
Rome. He was the director
of the department for
energy affairs in the minis-
try of Foreign Affairs before
assuming his present duties
as consul general.

CHICAGO — El Al Air-
lines has reinstated service
between Chicago and Tel
Aviv.
Flights now depart from
O'Hare's International
terminal every Tuesday at
noon through Oct. 26.
Passengers transfer planes
in New York and continue
non-stop to Tel Aviv.
There were 26,600 Jewish
marriages in Israel in 1981,
compared to 28,600 in 1975.
