Bnai Brith's Korey to Speak at Beth AHM
Dr. William Korey will
speak at the Cong. Beth Ab-
raham Hillel Moses tribute
dinner honoring Rabbi
Emeritus Israel I. Halpern
in behalf of Israel Bonds on
June 24 at the synagogue.
Dr. Korey is interna-
,
tional policy research direc-
tor for Bnai Brith. He has
been on numerous study
missions to Israel as well as
to Western Europe, Russia
and Latin America. Earlier
this year he attended the
Conference of the Non-
aligned Nations in Lima,
Peru, where he took a lead-
ing role in the effort to halt
the Arab drive aimed at ex-
pelling Israel from the UN.
A graduate of the Univer-
sity of Chicago, he received
his MA and PhD from
Columbia University. He
has served on the faculties
of Columbia, City College of
New York and Brooklyn
College. Currently heis vis-
iting professor at Yeshiva
University.
