Result is now without doubt one of the finest Sunday brunches to be found anywhere . . . and the price is like recession never arrived . . . $5.95 adults . . . and $2.95 youngsters 12 and under. There's everything on the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday brunch at Dimitri's of Southfield . . . juice, fresh gels, cream cheese, Nova sable, smoked fish, scrambled eggs, all break- fast meats, potato pancakes, cheese blintzes, creamed herring, chicken livers, broiled chicken, American fries, tenderloin tips, seven Greek dishes, etc. . . . plus a pastry table you wouldn't believe . . . of goodies like eclairs, etc. . . . all made at Dimitri's of Southfield by a former Darby's pastry chef. Seating is about 300 .. . and Sunday brunch is get- ting to be a very packed af- fair . . . Seems like every- body is finding out about what could very well be the best Sunday brunch bar- gain in the country. The sumptuous brunch is amid a beautiful three-room surrounding with brown and beige padded booths galore and tables with padded seats. Make no mistake . . . Di- mitri's of Southfield is not just another restaurant .. . It shows its elegance at lunch and evenings, too .. . serving some of the finest Greek dishes to be found .. . plus American favorites .. . The service is excellent .. . very attentive waiters and waitresses always on hand to help . . . A class operation with plenty of friendship and congeniality. Sunday brunch at Dimit- ri's of Southfield is one of the few things I have found worth standing in line for . . . Try the brewed de- cafeinated coffee . . . bet you can't tell the difference. IT'S BEEN 16 YEARS since George and Violet Morse left Detroit for Las Vegas . . . Since then, he has become known as one of the most liked gents in the Vegas area. His first Las Vegas em- - ployment was at the Silver Slipper . . . then the Sands . . . the Flamingo . . . and Al- addin, where he was "Mr. Everything," including one of the owners. Today, George is casino host at the Tropicana .. . with its new white and gold 22-story tower . . . Las gas' most luxurious Lasinos, with a spectacular 4,250 square foot dome of stained glass . . . 1,100 guest -rooms and suites .. . Atrium Shopping Plaza with shops galore and the home of the Entertainer's Hall of Fame. Also in the atrium area is the famous Tiffany Theater which houses the sensational Folies Bergere with its gorgeous women and lavish prod- uction numbers. There's plenty of outdoor sports, too, at the Tropicana . . with its 18 holes of golf, tennis, etc. . . . but it fea- tures the only indoor tennis and racquetball facility on the Strip. The Tropicana is one of the most complete resort hotels in the world. While George holds forth in Las Vegas . . . his son, Steve Morse, is the local marketing executive for the Tropicana, handling jun- kets from the Detroit area since last October (528- 1414) . . . Wife Sharon works with him . . . and they are a team of which George is mighty proud.
