BUDDY NIGHT Doug Frankel, son of Judge and Mrs. Marvin Frankel of Oak Park, haS signed a national letter of intent to play football and baseball at Brown Univer- sity. A six-foot, 190-pound quarterback at Oak Park High School, Frankel was recruited by several Ivy League schools. He was also scouted by several major league baseball teams. Seymour's sister from California, Carol Hoptman, was maid of honor. The happy event contin- ued on to a large reception, where people enjoyed a de- licious meal put out by Vir- ginia Kazin and her Subur- ban Kosher Caterers .. . with fine waitresses such as our table's poetess-server, Pat Ashley . . . Virginia, by the way, says her kosher restaurant, Wednesday evenings at the congrega- tion, is going great . . . and had to move into bigger quarters . . . Crime Prevention Bureau . . . Mobile Watch aids and is also a back-up for the police department on a surveillance basis. Plus his Civil Defense work, Joe is also an ap- pointed court officer for the 46th District Court.
