Bauervic FoundatiOn. The occasion was the dedication of the Bauervic Neurosurgical Clinic at the HFH West Bloomfield Center, located at 6777 W. Maple. The $100,000 grant to the HFH Department of Neurosurg6ry has been earmarked for the estab- lishment of the clinic in honor of the late Mr. Bauer- vic and his daughter Bon- nie, both of whom died of vascular disease. The clinic will provide outpatient services for patients with disorders of the brain and/or spinal cord and will serve as a referral source for those patients needing hospitalization. Dr. Ausman will be in charge of the clinic. New Test Aids Cancer Therapy LOS ANGELES — A test which may reduce the risk of side-effects experienced by some cancer chemotherapy patients has been developed at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, Calif. A special dye is injected into cancer patients to pre- dict the rate at which they would later excrete a chemotherapy drug called doxorubicin. This tech- nique was developed by Dr. James H. Doroshow, head of pharmacology at the hospi- tal.
