BBYO Activities The Michigan BBYO Board of Directors will hold its annual meeting 8 p.m. Monday at the Laurel Woods Apts. club house. At this meeting, Alan Nathan, chairman of the nominating committee, will present the slate to the board. Board Chairman Gloria Ellis will present her annual report. A joint meeting of the outgoing and incoming AZA Council executive boards will be held at 4 p.m. Mon- day at the BBYO office to select a chairman for the 1982 regional convention, which will be held over winter break in December. A similar meeting for the BBG Council will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the same facility. BBYO _announces the newly-elected officers of Chavayrim BBYO in Grand Rapids. They are: President, Jim Sturim; AZA Vice President, David Rabitch; BBG Vice President, Beth Eisenberg; MIT Mom, Susie Albert; Treasurer, Bob Albert; Re- cording Secretary, Jennifer Arlinsky; Corresponding Secretary, Amy Smith; and Counselor, Joy Enoch. Applications for the Joan Kalef Memorial Leadership Award are due at the BBYO office on Thursday. The award was established in mem- ory of Joan Kalef, past president of the Bnai Brith Women's Council of Metropolitan Detroit. The award will allow a BBYO member to attend the Machon (Inter- Regional Convention) June 20-24 at the Bnai Brith -Perlman Camp in Starlight, Pa. Applica- tions are available at the BBYO office. The AZA softball league will begin play Sunday at Southfield-Lathrup and Southfield High School ball fields. Registration for supplementary players for teams will be open until June 15.
