Hospital Merger

NEW YORK — St. John's
Episcopal Hospital and the
Jewish Hospital and Medi-
cal Center of Brooklyn have
announced their plans to
merge.
Both hospitals would stay
at their present sites, but
the merger would create a
700-bed teaching hospital.
