STEPHENSON
CLUB

(T he Best of Everything)

(Continued from Page 34)
be able to walk into any res-
taurant . . . regardless of
what, even a deli or family
eatery . . . and order delici-
ous chocolate mousse? .. .
Well, it's possible now .. .
Unbelievable as it may
'sound, the fellows at
Sneaky Treats, Southfield
and 121/2 Mile, in the Farrell
Shopping Plaza, Hanley
Elias and Ed Ersher, have
developed a dessert which,
by the way is not dietary,
that is becoming available
wherever food is served .. .
even in a family kitchen.
I tasted their Chocolate
Sin and Chocolate Chip .. .
and also did a bit of experi-
menting at home by adding
Grand Marnier to one and
Amaretto to another .. .
with amazingly delicious
results . . . Plans for the fu-
ture by Hanley and Ed are
to also develop mousse of
strawberry, lemon, pina
colada, rum, etc. tastes.
This is a most revolution-
ary concept in dining de-
light . . . since the Sneaky
Treats non-dietary choco-
late mousse cannot be
differentiated by many
chefs who have made it
since their culinary educa-
tions began.
- The mousse is available
to housewives, restau-
rants, catering halls,
country clubs, etc. .. . It
can be purchased by the
cup, pint, quart and even
gallon . . . a truly super
dessert for large or small
parties.
Development of chocolate
mousse by Sneaky Treats'
non-dietary food division is
the result of much research
by Hanley and Ed . . . Their
chocolate chip mousse, for
example, is made with Cal-
lebaut chocolate chips from
Belgium . . . just as at your
finest dining establish-
ments . . . but the price is
such that everyone can now
enjoy the thick, airy,
creamy and delicious
mousse they've heard or
read about.
The non-dietary choco-
late mousse at Sneaky
Treats are truly a
chocoholic's paradise!
Hanley and Ed are so ex-
cited with their product .
you can get free samples at
Sneaky Treats . . . just by
asking about the splendid
dessert.
RESTAURANT WAS
full of people . . . but it didn't
stop the crew at Silverman's
Restaurant in the Delta
Dental Bldg. on J.L. Hudson
Drive to bring out a cake .. .
and sing happy birthday to
a surprised Manager Shel-
don Dzodin.
TOO MANY have gotten
impression New Garden
Chinese restaurant on Nine
Mile and Coolidge in Oak
Park is not a sitdown eatery
. . . because of the daily buf-
fet luncheons . . . and Wed-
nesday and Sunday buffet
dinners.
Fact is New Garden is a
full-service oriental spot
with an extensive menu for
dining room and carry out
. . . The buffet is just an
added feature . . . Lunch

Friday, May 21, 1982 35

24912 N. CHRYSLER DR. (1-75 at 10 Mile)

Wednesday-Friday, $3.95
. . . dinner Wednesday and
Sunday, $5.95.
OPEN BAR and lunch-
eon for everybody . . . as
Charlie Pappas played no
charge host at Rialto Cafe,
Woodward and Nine Mile,
for the Ferndale police de-
partment's recent afternoon
affair of appreciation to
those who helped in its re-
cent "Stay Out Of Reach"
program that began be-
cause of deep concern with
the slayings of children in
Oakland County.
PEOPLE KNOW the
square pizza at Buddy's on
Northwestern is among the
best . . . but the lunch crowd
would be most interested in
knowing that's far from all
they serve . . . Soup and
sandwich lunch Monday-
Friday, 11 to 2, is $3.25 .. .
plus ha-mburgers, vealbur-
gers on onion roll, fried
potatoes with skin,
homemade soups, Greek
and antipasto salads, roast
beef, grilled cheese, meat-
ball sandwiches, homemade
chili, hoagies, pasta.
All lunch and dinner
prices at Buddy's Pizza .. .
open seven days a week . . .
include sales tax.
