members of their families
and friends, as well as
members of the congrega-
tion will be present.
The ceremony had its be-
ginning over a year ago
when Rabbi Harold S. Loss
announced that he was tak-
ing a group of adults from
the temple on a pilgrimage
to Israel.
A total of 40 men and
women subscribed to the
tour. Of them, 15 never
had a Bar or Bat Mitzva.
For the 15, the study was
intensified. On April 22,
they realized the fruits of
their labor on Massada,
where they celebrated
their Bnai Mitzva.
They read from a Torah
that Rabbi Loss had carried
with him to Israel.
The 15 who will be called
to the Torah on May 29 are:
Barbara Frankel, Sandra
Gleiberman, Anita
Haenick, Shirley Halprin,
Estelle Hurwitz, Dr. Ronald
Hurwitz, Barbara Levin,
Susan Loss, Francine Piell,
Rhoda Prenzlauer, Nancy
Raitt, Janey Roth, Robin
Steam, Dr. Richard Traitel
and Marcie Kagan-
Weinstein.
